William Shatner fights evil in Esperanto!

Leslie Stevens, creator of the original 'The Outer Limits,' wrote and directed this oddball tale of good vs evil. Shot entirely in Esperanto (with subtitles) in and around Big Sur, CA, the original film was thought lost for decades until it was discovered and restored. William Shatner, just before he boarded the starship Enterprise, stops off in a small, mysterious little town and encounters an incubus looking to match wits with someone who is truly and spiratually good. According to IMDB and the commentary on the disc, the Esperanto was, apparently, not translated from the english script well and rather poorly spoken by the actors. Unless you are an aficianado of Esperanto, you won't even notice. The subtitles do fine. Generally ignored and given a very limited release initially in 1966, the film was forgotten as a kitschy subnote in 60s counter-culture cinema. Since the film's rediscovery and restoration, it has built a small cult following, even making a cameo in 'Blade Trinity.' This edition has a clean print and a load of extras and commentaries. Come for the Shat, stay for the Esperanto, and witness an intellectual battle of good vs evil that will leave you shocked, shaken, and quite possibly asking yourself, "What the hell did I just watch?!"
